Welcome to the Leicestershire Choice Based Lettings Home page for North West Leicestershire District Council
From 19th February 2015, until further notice, North West Leicestershire District Council will be allowing home seekers who are currently restricted to bidding for two bedroom homes, to also be able to bid for some smaller three bedroom homes.
However, please note that homes will only be let on this basis after we have completed an affordability assessment to ensure that you can meet the outgoings associated with a larger home, and checking any implications with the under-occupation charge.
As from 3rd December, as part of our District Lettings Plan, preference will be given to 'new home seekers' when letting homes to those in the low band.
Please note that as from 2nd October anyone applying on Choice Based Lettings who have a connection to Oadby and Wigston will also need to register separately with them.
Using this web site you can:
You can also register your home on a national home swap service select HomeSwapper This service is free of charge for North West Leicestershire District Council tenants.

Leicestershire Choice Based Lettings is a partnership between the seven councils in Leicestershire (excluding Leicester City which has its own web site) and a large number of housing association partners. By coming together to form Leicestershire Choice Based Lettings, we are able to offer those looking for an affordable home, the widest choice of housing and an easier way of being considered for vacant properties as they arise.
Using this service gives you more choice in deciding where you want to live. Instead of waiting for an offer of accommodation, you can see which properties are coming vacant and will be able to bid on them (ie express an interested). Properties that are available for rent and shared ownership will be advertised weekly from midnight each Wednesday.
